Bamboo is actually a grass, not a wood. It is a very strong material that has been used for centuries as a building material. Bamboo matures in about seven years, compared to most hardwood trees that take decades to mature. The look of bamboo can vary depending on how it is cut and glued together. See the pictures below on some ways to use bamboo on a cabinet door!

Lyptus is harvested from eucalyptus plantations in Brazil. These trees grow quickly and can be harvested in 14 to 16 years. The wood is very hard and has a fine beautiful grain. Many of the plantations are certified to sustainable forest standards. Lyptus is also very competitively priced, about the same as maple. See some examples of Lyptus below:

Our reconstituted veneers come from Brookside Veneers Ltd. They are crafted exclusively of woods from managed forests. Many of these veneers are made to look like exotic woods that are no longer sustainable. Great efforts are made in the factory to preserve air quality. The water used in the dying vats is treated and processed into clean water. See some examples of composite veneers below:

The World Health Organization has determined that off gassing of Urea-Formaldehyde is a human carcinogen. Many of the adhesives used in cabinet making contain Urea-Formaldehyde. There are plywood products available, such as "Pure Bond", that use soy-based adhesives instead. The adhesives used by Aristocratic Cabinets have no added Urea-Formaldehyde as well.
